Project SNES Learners(Skills in Numeracy Enhancement for Struggling learners) launched in Sto. Elementary School to improve learner’s basic computational skills on the four basic fundamental operation last September 2019 to March, 2020.

  Mrs. Rebecca Diaz, Master Teacher I, Mathematics School Coordinator, Exemplary Teacher in Mathematics initiated this school -based numeracy project in cooperation with the Mathematics teachers in Grade 4-6 teachers under the School Head’s supervision.

This project involved seven different activities for Grade 4-6 pupils, these are: MATHiyaga, answering 5- item Math equations everyday at 7 a.m. in their respective classroom; MATHtulungan, highly numerate learners will help the non-numerate learners in answering the worksheets in their free time; MATHsigasig every  Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2:15– 3:00 p.m., non-numerate learners from Grades 4-6 had remedial classes. Different activities were given to the learners such as, MATHsayahan, games with a twist are given to the struggling learners; MATHlikhain at MATHsining, creating manipulative devices; MATHpaligsahan, is a DaMath competition, KasaMATH kami, involving parents and stakeholders in the activities.

There were around 50 struggling learners in each grade level attending the remedial class of  Mrs. Lilian Julian, (Master Teacher I), Mrs. Shiena T. Acenas, Mr. Enrico  A. Unay, Mr. Guillermo P. Matela, Mrs. Jillian B. Bernardo, Ms. Hannah Mae Q. Pagsisihan, Mrs. Rebecca P. Diaz, Mr. Rich Michael F. Cuevas and Ms. Cherry S. Sta. Iglesia
